Client Testimonials

"Rachel's Beyond Chronic Pelvic Pain program completely changed my life. Prior to working with Rachel, I had tried prescriptions, injections, physical therapy, and just about every type of alternative medicine with no relief.

I had even tried learning about the mind body approach but could not wrap my head about how it applied to me and my pain.

Our sessions were completely tailored to my journey and what I had going on at that moment. I am so grateful that I found Rachel. She is incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable. She not only helped me get back to daily tasks, but I am now doing things that I never thought I would be able to do once my pain started. I no longer feel broken.

I cannot thank Rachel enough for choosing to share her experience and knowledge."

"My story began with unexplained pelvic pain, a revolving door of doctors and tests, and eventually, multiple surgeries. The surgeries fixed my medical problem, but the pain remained.  After another round of doctors and tests, I was diagnosed with pudendal neuralgia and basically told it was not curable. I was given the option of injections, meds or pelvic floor therapy. I chose the pelvic floor therapy as I feel all women can benefit from it, but after 5 months the conclusion was that my pelvic floor was not the cause of my pain. I felt like I was out of options, but my therapist knew Rachel and the work she was doing.  She put me in touch with her and my healing journey began.

When I started talking to Rachel I was in a very bad place. I was lying down most of the day, not engaging in life, in pain and desperate. I had never heard of mind body pain, but I was willing to embrace anything that might help. She was so patient and kind, she let me cry and ask as many questions as I wanted. She was a wealth of knowledge and encouraged me to read about the mind body world and how it related to my situation. After the first few sessions, I had hope! I knew in my heart that this related to me, but I quickly learned that I needed to go through the whole process to get to the other side. My biggest motivation was Rachel herself. I hadn’t met anyone who had chronic pelvic pain and it was so isolating. The fact that Rachel had the same thing AND overcame it was so empowering! In the darkest moments throughout my journey, I revisited that fact over and over and it helped me to keep going.

My road to recovery was not a quick fix and there were many highs and lows. But Rachel lifted me up through the lows and helped me to use the highs as tools to move forward. She guided me through each step of her program with compassion and encouragement.  She was a therapist, a friend, and a role model. She never gave up on me and more importantly, she never let me give up on myself.

Today, my life is amazing! I am pain free most days and if it creeps back in, I now have the mindset and the tools to just let it be until it disappears. I am back to living the life I had before. I am walking miles and traveling all the time. When I look back to when I started talking to Rachel, I’m amazed and grateful for how far I’ve come and everything I’ve learned. If you relate to this in any way, Rachel can help you! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. She is caring, thoughtful, smart and most of all, committed to helping all of her clients to get to the other side of chronic pelvic pain. I encourage anyone in the same situation to try Rachel’s program. She has truly given me my life back and I am forever grateful!"

"Working with Rachel literally changed my life in the absolute best way possible. Before working with her I felt like I was a slave to my chronic SI joint pain. I constantly thought about it, worried about it, obsessed over it and felt incredibly limited by it.

I wasn't enjoying my life because I felt like my pain was taking so much away from me. I'd worked with numerous physical therapists in the past, seen chiropractors, done all the corrective exercises and nothing ever gave me lasting relief.

What was even more frustrating is that I'm a pelvic floor therapist myself and I couldn't even figure out my own body. When I first heard about mind-body work for pain I was a little bit skeptical but I was also going on 7 years of pain and was willing to try anything to help.

I'm so glad I made the decision to work with Rachel. I feel like I've gotten my life back. My pain has improved drastically but more importantly I am happier overall and I am able to be an active participant in my life. I can workout again. I can play with my daughter without worrying about whether or not I'm going to be in pain afterward. I'm not constantly thinking about my pain day in and day out.

I've learned so much more about myself through this process and what it means to truly take care of ME. Rachel was an amazing coach and was so easy to communicate with. I would absolutely recommend her if you're dealing with chronic pelvic pain! "

"As a young woman, I never expected to deal with chronic pelvic pain. After struggling for years to have sex, use a tampon, and go through a standard pelvic exam, I was told to do 6 months of physical therapy and then I’ll be “cured”. Well, after 10 months of regularly seeing my psychotherapist, physical therapist, and being diagnosed with vaginismus, it felt like I was going to live like this forever. My therapists and I realized that my pain was not just a result of a physical limitation, but also a mental block. My PT recommended me to Rachel when she left on maternity leave.

Working with Rachel was different than anything I’ve ever done. Her mindbody approach was the breakthrough I’ve been looking for for YEARS! Rachel was understanding, gentle, and kind while still pushing me and encouraging me to do things I never thought I could possibly do. She gave me the skills and support I needed while navigating self exploration, new romantic relationships, and being able to have penetrative sex for the first time in my life!

I could not recommend these services enough- Rachel brought back my confidence and made me feel like a woman again."

"I don’t know where I’d be if I hadn’t worked with Rachel.

I’d tried everything from a long list of medications, to injections, to pelvic physical therapy and nothing really helped me.

I was so stuck and so scared and I was really anxious to try this mindbody work. I was nervous this would be one more thing that didn't work for me.

Now, not only do I have more pain-free days than I’ve ever had in the past 2 years, but I have my life back. I do what I want. I’m not scared of the pain anymore and that’s the biggest gift.

I know I’m on the right path and I can’t recommend Rachel enough. She has been so supportive, and knowledgeable and patient and I just feel so lucky to have found her. "
